Client: Veterans Health Administration Innovators Network

The VHA Innovators Network came to me with a very specific idea to build a digital interactive guide to help VA’s healthcare innovators through the complicated process of workplace innovation. Secure network considerations plus the level of interactivity they were requesting posed a unique but fun challenge.

I worked with the program’s leadership along with external partners to develop and edit content. My responsibilities included sourcing original photography, drawing hundreds of custom icons, developing succinct and accessible layouts, and design a fluid digital playbook that could be easily updated in the future. I also stretched the limits of what a fully 508 compliant and interactive PDF is capable of.

This project spanned several months and was very positively received by both the client and it’s users. It received high praise and set the standard for what was to come from the creative team assigned to the VHA Innovators Network.
