
Client: Veterans Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem (VHA IE)
VHA IE is a massive ecosystem within Veterans Health Administration that works to drive healthcare innovation benefiting veterans. From Innovation Networks and Green House initiatives, to Fellowships, Shark Tank-style competitions, and Diffusion Academies, VHA IE makes an incredible impact on everyday veteran healthcare treatments and modalities. It does so by attracting in-house innovators, like front-line healthcare workers who have an idea to solve a common patient problem.
In order to properly market itself within VHA as the go-to for innovative ideas, VHA IE required a comprehensive branding strategy to unify its internal and external marketing materials.
Collaborating with VHA IE, I developed a detailed strategy for messaging and a unique visual identity. To ensure its consistent application, I created a detailed style guide that established clear design standards to be used across all programs. It included key branding elements, color palettes, custom icons, illustration, video, and photography guidelines, as well as logo formats. By establishing these practical and effective guidelines, VHA IE was empowered to communicate its mission with clarity and consistency.
